Alcohol will never let you gain muscle

For all you fitness freaks here comes a shocking news. You can never gain muscle when there is intake of alcohol. All of us know alcohol is not a healthy habit but still most of us can not resist it when offered at social gatherings. And many are addicts. People just do not care. After all we live in a society where instant gratification seems to be the order of the day. Though alcohol might seem to give you instant pleasure it is being considered a drug because of the adverse effects it can have on you and your family. Okay you might not be very interested when I just keep saying it is not good for you. I'd better proceed to give you some concrete reasons as to why you should stop consuming alcohol. For those of you who want to be fit, alcohol is one of the worst choices you can make. That is because alcohol just ruins your muscles. It reduces testosterone levels in your body and increases the estrogen levels causing or resulting in secondary female characteristics and loss of firmness and strength. Always remember that your body loves protein and alcohol also affects protein synthesis in your body. It slows down the process and weakens your body. As if this were not enough it also strips your body down of vitamins and minerals. It causes a lot of discomfort to you. It causes dehydration and also prompts your body to start accumulating fat instead of burning it all. Isn't this reason enough to quit alcohol and start living a fitful life?
